Twenty-five years is a milestone worth celebrating, and I didn't want it to pass by without helping to bring Alumni back together. For many of us, Laurier gave us lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a foundation for our careers and lives. Volunteering felt like a small way to help create an opportunity for everyone to reconnect and celebrate how far we've all come.
I'd relive the simple moments that didn't seem significant at the time—walking across our small campus between classes, hanging out in the 24 hour lounge at the Fred Nichols Campus Centre, cheering on the Golden Hawks, or just running into friends in the concourse before heading to our next lecture. Those everyday moments became some of the best memories.
I hope they remember just how special the Laurier community is. Campus may look different today (there are so many more students), but the sense of belonging, school spirit, and friendships that started here are timeless. I think coming back reminds you not only of where you were, but also of how those experiences helped shape who you are today.

"...you realize the students walking across campus today were born after you graduated—and somehow the music from our university days is now considered 'classic hits.'"
I'd tell them this: Come back.
Twenty-five years only happens once. It doesn't matter whether you've stayed in touch with classmates or haven't been back to campus in decades. You'll see familiar faces, share stories that instantly take you back, and probably laugh more than you expect. It's not about reliving the past—it's about celebrating the journey we've all been on since then.
You'll never regret making the trip, but you might regret missing the opportunity.

L: Don't miss out on the chance to join all the festivities and revisit our Laurier years.
A: Come! Our time at Laurier somehow seems like both yesterday and a lifetime ago. Twenty years is a big milestone. The opportunity to get this many classmates back together does not happen often. For one weekend, we can put our adult responsibilities aside to catch up and relive some of the moments from our time at Laurier when life was a little simpler.
L: Not a day goes by that I don't do something or talk to someone related by my time at Laurier. Whether it's the work I do or connecting with some of my closest friends, there are direct and indirect connections to WLU in almost every aspect of my life.
A: I think it will be special to get so many classmates back together in one place and celebrate what everyone has accomplished over the last two decades since we left Laurier.
L: Celebrate how far we've come and everything we've accomplished since graduation - no matter which path life has taken us on.
A: My time at Laurier was all about the people. Many of my best memories from that time in my life involve my classmates from Laurier. Getting everyone back on campus and catching up twenty years later is something I am really looking forward to.
