Patricia Polischuk (BA ’90) was a very active Laurier Student and involved in a variety of different areas throughout her undergraduate degree. She has fond memories through her time as a Residence Don, Head Resident, working with Career Services, and playing flag football all four years of her degree.
Playing on the Miami Ice Powder Puff flag football team is a memory that sticks out to Patricia. While her team never actually won, they had a great time playing and it gave her the opportunity to meet people from across campus.
Patricia has spent most of her career working for large international consulting firms like KPMG Consulting, LHH Knightsbridge and Gallagher. After spending many years living in Toronto, Patricia and her family have since moved back to the Waterloo Region. She recently co-founded TalentWise Collective, a Canadian talent solutions collective with global reach, and is the COO. Patricia noted
“During my time working and volunteering at Laurier’s Career Services, I gained a passion for the work that I continue to do today as a leadership and Career Coach”.
Patricia initially joined the Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association Board back in 2009 with a desire to give back. In 2016 she was asked to be the WLUAA rep on the Board of Governors, a role that she thoroughly enjoyed as it allowed her to learn about Board leadership and the post-secondary education sector.
Patricia said that her favourite part of volunteering is getting to “meet the incredibly talented and committed students who are the reason for the work we do – talking to the students provides me with hope that our future is bright.” We are grateful to have enthusiastic and dedicated people like Patricia on the WLUAA Board.
If you would like to join Patricia and get involved, applications for the WLUAA board are open!
