Kevin Lad (BBA ’01) graduated with a minor in History and was a Laurier Ambassador throughout his undergraduate degree. Today he is the Regional Sales Manager, Canada Distribution and DMR at Optoma Technology and enjoys spending his days with his wife and two kids.
When Kevin was a student, he enjoyed sharing the history and stories of Laurier. He spent a lot of time on the 3rd floor of the Fred Nichols Campus centre, back when it was a 24-hour lounge. One of his favourite things was “there were so many amazing people that you had the opportunity to cross paths with at Laurier and you never knew what type of friendships could develop by simply starting a conversation with a stranger!”
Kevin's number one passion is his family, but he also loves to travel (38 countries and counting), is a die-hard Raptors fan (season ticket-holder for 18 years), and enjoys photography. Since graduating, he has always kept his connection with Laurier through various volunteer opportunities and events. Kevin was looking for a way to strengthen his connection with Laurier, and with the opening of the new Milton campus, and being that he is a Milton resident himself, he thought it was the perfect time to join the WLUAA board. He finds volunteering to be “good for the soul and helps to provide enriching experiences that can better me as a person both in my personal and work lives”.
Thank you to Kevin and the rest of the WLUAA board for all of the great work they do to connect and engage with Laurier alumni. If you would like to join Kevin, applications for the WLUAA board are open!
