On Wednesday, April 3, varsity teams are going head-to-head in a 24-hour giving challenge and they need you on the team!
Student-athletes are competing to reach their donor count and fundraising targets before the buzzer goes at 11:59 p.m. on April 3. Every dollar – and every donor – helps your team get closer to achieving their goals.
“Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of student-athletes and the success of our teams,” says Kate McCrae Bristol, director of Athletics and Recreation at Laurier. “By participating in the Golden Hawks Giving Challenge, you’ll be helping varsity teams access enhanced coaching resources, increased exhibition and pre-season travel, investment in strength and conditioning, team nutrition, athletic therapy, equipment and so much more.”
Teams will have the chance to win up to $1,500 in additional funding when you participate in giving challenges on or before April 3. With eight challenges for teams to compete in, donors determine which teams qualify for extra funding. Donate now to put your team in the running for the Warm Up Challenge – all teams who receive a donation before April 3 will have a chance to win a $500 prize.
Check the team leaderboards on April 3 to track your teams’ performance in real time!
The more people who know about the challenge, the more significant the impact will be. Please help amplify the Golden Hawks Giving Challenge on social media and within your networks – likes, shares, reposts and positive comments all help extend our reach.
Your support will have a direct impact on student-athletes, giving them the support and resources they need to succeed in the classroom and soar above the competition.
