On Wednesday, April 3, more than 460 donors gave generously to help ‘change the game,’ raising more than $58,000 as varsity teams went head-to-head in a 24-hour giving challenge.
“I’m so grateful to every donor who gave to support the Golden Hawks Giving Challenge – thank you!” says Kate McCrae Bristol, director of Athletics and Recreation at Laurier. “Your generosity will go directly to help varsity teams access game-changing resources, like increased exhibition and pre-season travel, investment in strength and conditioning, team nutrition, athletic therapy and so much more.”
The day’s biggest victor was the Women's Soccer team, who raised more than $14,000 from 119 unique donors! They surpassed their donor goal by an impressive 793%. Women's Soccer also won the Goal Crusher Challenge and these three wins unlocked $4,000 in additional funds for their team.
